Tonight I realized first hand that there are (for lack of a better word) “conservative” gay people out there that do not support all facets of the community, and in fact, laugh at them.
I guess I knew they existed, but I’ve never seen that blatant hate with my own eyes.
What is the point in “the community” if all we ever do is badger each other?
“Bisexuality is just an easier way of saying you’re gay”
“What the hell is ‘Questioning?’ If you like dick, you’re gay”
“I dont understand transgendered people. They must have some sort of mental issues.”
Why? What even is “the gay community?” It should be a protective safe haven for everyone on the spectrum. But it’s not.
I dunno. Maybe I’m ranting. I just don’t see why we can’t all get along. Who cares if “he” identifies as “she?” Who cares if she is questioning her sexuality - it can be a difficult idea to process. Let people live their lives and stop worrying about it. Help and support them, if anything.
Maybe this hits home to me because I have met some amazing people who fit these descriptions and I love them. Beautiful human beings all the way around. You guys will always be welcomed and loved in my circle.
